-- This morning I ran five miles without walking. I haven't done that in a llloonnngggg time. I'm proud!
-- March's "You in Shape: Celeb Slim Down" in Shape magazine features playmate Holly Madison from the Girls Next Door. In the article, Holly credits much of her slim-down success to NV, "a hot new weight-loss supplement (from $30; Walmart)." That is just how it appears in the article. I am disgusted by this faux-article advertising. It is not the first time Shape has done this - they had an article about celebrity weight loss and Sensa that was a promotion disguised as journalism. This crosses a line. Fine, advertise products in your magazine that perpetuate unhealthy weight loss so that your publication doesn't fold, but don't write articles and incorporate advertising into them as fact, figuring your readers won't notice. We notice! Many times full articles are not available from Shape online, but this one is - probably so that more people will read it and want to buy NV. You can check it out here. Harumph!
